Abilities like the Boost and the grinding maneuver return from the console version of the game. Unlike its 3D counterpart, the mobile version of Sonic Unleashed is a side-scrolling platformer, with elements like shuttle loops and underwater sections that the player can enter (without falling into a bottomless pit) and traverse, although the playable characters will eventually drown if they stay underwater for too long. Regardless, Sonic defeats this robot and gains the yellow and orange Chaos Emeralds, thus foiling Eggman's plans for good. However, using the "power of Gaia", Eggman unleashes his " most powerful robot" on Mazuri. Having been defeated in Greece, Eggman flees to "other parts of Europe." Sonic subsequently chases Eggman to Spagonia, whose boss drops the white Chaos Emerald.Įggman's Badniks soon after take over the city of Mazuri, in the "Middle East", where Sonic acquires the purple Chaos Emerald.
He later catches Eggman in the plaza of the city and defeats the Egg Fish, which drops the green Chaos Emerald. After another fight in Apotos, Sonic acquires the red Chaos Emerald. Sonic eventually lands in Chun-nan, where he meets a mysterious creature who he gives the name Chip, and the two travel to a town in search of someone who might know Chip's identity.Īfter fighting Sonic in Chun-Nan and dropping the blue Emerald, Eggman flees to Athens, Greece, and Sonic travels through Apotos to reach him. He falls from the ship and becomes Sonic the Werehog when Eggman steals the Chaos Emeralds from him.
